OPPORTUNITIES AND cONSTRAINTS
The airport is a major constraint, creating noise and air pollution of 63db within the green boundary. There are restrictions on the build height to 10 storeys and within the yellow arrow there is an exclusion zone for seating.

The black lines show major barriers to connectivity such as the water and impassible roads.

The red indicates where industry continues which could be a barrier for creating a new image for the area.

The blue highlights the locations of Silo D and millenium mills buildings which provide an opportunity to create a memorable place but will be costly to rennovate.
The site is in close proximity to the airport, and DLR stations. It will also be serviced by crossrail in the near future making it will connected to the rest of London and ideal for international investment.

There are currently ways to get across the dock and the Thames, although these are limited.

The Excel gives an opportunity for tourism and bringing people the area, although it doesnt provide for the local community.

Similarly some existing neighbourhoods are not well integrated, especially with jobs at Canary Wharf despite its close proximity.
